In a move that caught many by surprise, Nintendo and Toyota forged a partnership that would turn Nintendo DS into an in-car navigational remote control. This would allow drivers to set their routes using the game consoles, but let’s hope it is the passenger who does the navigation. It seems dangerous if you ask me.
The service is called Kuruma de DS, wherein it provides maps and destination information as well as tour info while you drive through towns. There is a gaming aspect to this with its POI saving option, as well as quiz games and Mii characters that serve as tour guides. It requires the DS to connect via Bluetooth with a compatible Toyota Smart Navi system, which costs around $3,000 while the game itself comes with a $92 price tag.

Sprint has some bad news to its subscribers: the retail debut of HTC EVO 4G LTE would be pushed back for several days, probably even weeks, after a shipment of these smartphones from Taiwan were blocked by the US Customs. The move has to do with enforcing a win in a trade complaint by Apple, which claimed devices running on Android infringe on its patents for one-tap screen commands.
Apple won an order from the US International Trade Commission, which recently circulated a “limited exclusion” telling HTC to stop selling “offending smartphones” to the United States beginning April 19.
The mobile carrier assures its subscribers that “HTC is working to resolve this issue.”
